The Department of Education and Skills now require all schools to have a communication and learning platform in place that supports schools to respond in the event of a partial or full school closure in the future. The Minister for Education requests that all schools put in place appropriate contingency measures to ensure that schools are prepared to continue to support teaching and learning in the event of a partial or full closure of schools arising from Public Health advice.
St.Kilian’s JNS will continue to use the Aladdin app for school communication with parents and the wider school community. This is the link for the parents’ help section for Aladdin https://www.aladdin.ie/connect_app_faqs.html
The school also uses the Seesaw platform currently for some homework projects, and this platform will be used more extensively for teaching and learning in the event of a partial or full school closure. Please see the link, should you need any more information.
