At St.Kilian’s School we have a very active and successful Parents Association and we are very proud to play an important part in the great team spirit and positive environment that exists here. As parents of children in the school, you are automatically members of the parents association and will be kept informed of events throughout the year through the school newsletter, school website, notes home and our Facebook page:

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to enhance the school experience for families by promoting active volunteer participation in the Parents Association and by sponsoring activities that will make our children’s experience at St.Kilians an enriching and rewarding one. We also help to facilitate communication among parents, the school and the Board of Management.

Some of our Fundraising Activities

Christmas Fair: usually the last Friday in November or early December This is one of the biggest fundraising events of the year and your support is greatly appreciated. There is a wonderful atmosphere on the day and the children really enjoy it.

Race Night or pub quiz: usually in March – The Race Night will be held in our local pub, The Kingswood Lodge and we hope it will be sponsored by local businesses and TDs.

We are always looking for donations for our many hampers and spot prizes for our events. All donations will be gratefully accepted at the school.

Get Involved

The PA offer a variety of ways in which all parents can get involved:

  • Fundraising: for academic enrichment and supplies for both the Junior and Senior Schools.
  • Plan and sponsor celebrations: We provide refreshments for Christmas Concerts/ Grandparents Day

Communion/Confirmation/ Second and Sixth Class Graduation Discos/ Barber and Beautician workshops for Sixth Class before they move to Secondary School.

We hold meetings on the first Tuesday of every month during the school term with our AGM being held in October annually.
